Tae Kwon-Do is much more than a physical activity. It is designed to be a non-violent art and system of complete body exercise as well as being a way of life. It includes physical techniques, mental disciplines and a deep philosophy. By practicing Tae Kwon-Do, one can benefit in the following ways:
Physically - One can develop good coordination and balance, muscular strength, cardiovascular endurance and flexibility. The culmination of all of these elements develops a stronger and healthier body.
Mentally - Through the dedicated practice of Tae Kwon-Do, and individual and build self-confidence, gain better judgment, and improve self-control. The student can also develop an inherent respect for others. The ultimate by-product of these mental disciplines is a sound mind.
Philosophically - While developing a strong body and sound mind, one also develops valuable philosophical tools through lessons of life brought about through Tae Kwon-Do training. These include:
